Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue arrested a 28-year-old man on Via Amerigo Vespucci.
The individual, an illegal immigrant with a criminal record, was stopped after being spotted talking to other people and attempting to run away at the sight of the police.
The search resulted in the discovery of 34 packages containing cocaine and crack, weighing a total of approximately 8 grams. The man was subsequently arrested on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
