Bacoli is preparing for an evening of music, images, and magnificent scenery. On September 25th, the Phlegraean city will host a double event as part of "Naples towards the America's Cup," the project promoted by the Metropolitan City and the City of Naples in preparation for the 2027 international sailing competition.
The program will kick off at 8:00 PM with a video mapping show on the façade of the Casina Vanvitelliana on Lake Fusaro. The projections, accompanied by musical interludes, will take advantage of the structure's unique position on the water, with the images reflected on the lake's surface creating a spectacular effect.
At 21 pm, the second event will move to Baia, in the Piazza d'Armi of the Aragonese Castle, where the Orchestra of the "San Pietro a Majella" Conservatory of Naples, conducted by Stefania Rinaldi, will perform the concert "Symphonic Notturno a Baia."
Sopranos Jennifer Santucci and Martina Savarese also took the stage, accompanied on piano by maestro Luigi Del Prete. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park.
"The Metropolitan City has chosen to play a leading role, together with the City of Naples, in the journey that will lead us to the 2027 America's Cup," said Mayor Gaetano Manfredi. "This initiative is part of a much broader program of interventions that we shared with the Permanent Technical-Political Committee and funded with €10 million from the Metropolitan City for various projects supporting the organization of the Cup and maximizing the event's enjoyment, ranging from a high-capacity digital network for regatta connectivity to the cultural enhancement of the local areas. We are investing in a concrete and lasting legacy for the entire metropolitan area, in terms of infrastructure, culture, and attractiveness."
Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Giuseppe Cirillo emphasized: "With this effort, we wanted to support the organization of this major international sporting event: it is an investment in the future of our region, in its ability to attract tourism, culture, and innovation, with benefits that will accrue to all the municipalities in the metropolitan area."
Campania Regional President Roberto Fico also expressed his appreciation for the institutional process underway, "which places us at the forefront, with our funding, for the success of an event that places the entire region at the center of the international spotlight, with all the benefits we should be able to derive from it."
Bacoli Mayor Josi Della Ragione is enthusiastic: "We're going to experience a magical night, get ready. It will be a world-class spectacle, combining music and sport, overlooking breathtaking landscapes, alongside the teams competing in the waters of the Gulf of Naples. I thank the Metropolitan City of Bacoli for choosing these events. This will give our land and our treasures a huge showcase, followed by hundreds of millions of people around the world. And many institutions will be coming here." Access to the events will be free, but reservations are required, subject to availability, through the Eventbrite platform.
