Naples, young drug dealer arrested in Mianella

Naples – Yesterday morning, the State Police arrested a 24-year-old for illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing, resisting arrest, and assaulting a public official.

Officers from the Scampia Police Station, carrying out territorial patrols, were passing along Via Mianella when they saw the young man handing something to another man in exchange for a banknote. The buyer quickly fled and disappeared.

Upon seeing the police, the 24-year-old attempted to flee into a park, throwing away a package. Officers recovered, caught him, and subdued him as he struggled to escape. During the search, they found €70 in bills of various denominations. The abandoned package contained 15 packages of cocaine, weighing a total of 5 grams.

For these reasons, the young man was arrested. The police investigation is continuing to trace his suppliers, his client base, and determine who he was dealing on behalf of.
