Noa Lang is not on Napoli's squad for the Champions League match against Arsenal at the Maradona stadium. Sporting director Giovanni Manna explained the striker's absence before kickoff.

"Lang didn't behave appropriately in training. The boy understood and apologized to the group. He'll watch the match with me in the stands tonight, and he'll be available again tomorrow," Manna told Sky Sport. The manager then addressed the current state of the team, coming off defeats against Como and Inter, and the criticism they've received in recent weeks.

"It's normal for fans to expect more. We have a squad that reflects our objectives. We have to meet certain parameters. The transfer market in Italy has been strange. Last year we signed 11 players and many were left out due to injuries. We'll see where we are in December and then evaluate," Manna told Amazon Prime Video.

The Italian sporting director then reiterated the need to reduce errors, especially after the lapses of the last two matchdays. "Criticism is part of the game. We've lost two games in a row. We made mistakes against Como, as we did in Milan. However, we saw how Inter played in Madrid. Today is a difficult match, we need to make fewer mistakes. But that's normal at the start of the season."
