A Sunday dedicated to innovation, wellness, and culture for families: immersive tours, outdoor yoga sessions, and the launch of a new children's series.

Pompeii: Sunday at the Museum with augmented reality, yoga, and new reading for kids
A Sunday dedicated to discovery and family participation enlivens the Pompeii Archaeological Park during Sunday at the Museum, promoted in conjunction with Sunday Paper by the Ministry of Culture. This combined program blends technology, sports, food and wine, and literature for younger audiences, offering visitors new ways to enjoy cultural heritage.
The central element is an immersive tour created using 3D viewers and augmented reality glasses developed by AR Tour, a platform of the Aion Consortium. The two-hour tour departs at 11:00 a.m. from Piazza Anfiteatro and arrives at the Forum at 13:00 p.m.: a digital reconstruction of the houses, shops, and streets of ancient Pompeii, designed to explore the site from an interactive perspective. The cost of participation is 10 euros.
The day also features a wellness program: a Vinyasa Integral Yoga session will take place in the Parvula Domus, in the green area surrounding the excavations. Led by instructor Francesca Caso and sponsored by the Il Tulipano cooperative, the session is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and lasts an hour and a half. The activity is open to adults and children ages 14 and up; please bring a mat or sarong. The participation fee is €5. Tickets for both activities can be booked and purchased online on the Pompeii Children's Museum website.
The gastronomic offering is curated by Chora Restaurant, located on Via dell'Abbondanza in the heart of the Park. For the autumn season, the menu emphasizes local flavors and seasonal produce. A sunset aperitif overlooking the ruins is scheduled from 16:30 PM. Reservations are available at www.chorapompei.com.
The family-friendly workshops project is promoted by the Pompeii Children's Museum, the first permanent educational space within an Italian archaeological site dedicated to children, born from the collaboration between the Aion Consortium and the Pleiadi Group.
This afternoon, at 2:30 PM, the Giuseppe Fiorelli Library will host the celebration of Paper Sunday with the presentation of the new children's fiction series "Discovering Pompeii: The Adventures of Festo, Nivea, and Dulcis," written by Martina Tapinassi and published by Arbor Sapientiae, with the scientific advice of archaeologist Laurentino Garcia y Garcia. The series aims to offer young readers a lively glimpse into daily life in the 1st century AD, including food, games, architecture, and traditions of the Roman city.
The day will continue with a talk titled "A Brief History of the Giuseppe Fiorelli Library," scheduled from 16:30 to 18:00 PM. The event will focus on the new Children's Section and the presentation of several archival documents. Speakers will include Cristina Del Fiacco and Rosanna De Simone, librarian and archivist at the Pompeii Archaeological Park. Admission is free, subject to availability.
