Lanciano, Fortuna Loffredo's three children separated from their father: lawyers seek clarity.

An urgent formal notice has been sent to the main state institutions seeking clarification regarding the removal of three siblings aged seven, four, and three, children of Pietro Loffredo, father of Fortuna, the girl raped and murdered in Caivano, and his partner.

The announcement was made by lawyers Angelo Pisani, Sergio Pisani, Rita Ronchi, and Antonella Esposito, who are representing the couple. According to their lawyers, the three children were removed by social services on September 17th in Lanciano.

"A formal warning and urgent request has been sent to the highest state institutions, the juvenile justice authorities, the Children's Ombudspersons, the Municipality and the Lanciano Social Services, requesting full transparency regarding the immediate removal of three siblings aged seven, four, and three, which occurred on September 17, causing serious trauma and harm to everyone," the joint statement reads.

The reconstruction provided by the parents and reported in the statement states that the two younger children were taken from their home by police, while the older sister was taken directly to school. The three were then transferred to civilian vehicles that, according to the parents, were "without seats or safety features" for the children.

More than 24 hours after the intervention, the lawyers claim they haven't received sufficient information about the minors' situation. "We still have no news beyond the in-person telephone warnings from social services that it would be 'advisable' to collaborate in seeing the children again," the lawyers maintain.

According to the statement, the parents state that they have not received a copy of the report or the order, nor any information about the proceedings or the competent authority. They also request full information about the conditions of the three siblings.

The formal notice was addressed, among others, to the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister's Office, the competent ministers, the Prosecutor's Office and Juvenile Court of L'Aquila, the Pescara Prosecutor's Office, the Italian Children's Ombudsman, the regional ombudsmen, the mayor, and the Social Services Department of the Municipality of Lanciano. The lawyers are asking the institutions to intervene in the matter and ensure transparency in the process that led to the separation of the children from their parents.

"We are not asking for privileges or shortcuts: we are asking for legality, transparency, and humanity. Above all, we are appealing to Italians, to all parents and children, and to the people of the web who have already defended the Bosco family in the same area, to support and help the latest victims of this insensitive bureaucracy, which only affects the weak," says Angelo Pisani.

The matter remains the focus of requests for clarification addressed to the competent authorities, while the details of the removal decision and the minors' conditions will need to be verified by institutional and judicial authorities.
