Daughter kills 91-year-old father in nursing home
Pavia di Udine – A patricide took place in the 'Villa orchidea' nursing home in Percoto di Pavia di Udine.
The 91-year-old man was killed by his 61-year-old daughter. The woman stabbed her father and then turned herself in to the police. The murder occurred late this morning.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the woman allegedly committed the crime when no one was present. For this reason, the investigation is ongoing by the Carabinieri of the Udine Provincial Command, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office. The motive appears to be financial hardship: both of the woman's parents are residents of the facility, although her mother lives in another room and, in fact, did not witness the crime.
Investigators are working under the coordination of the Udine prosecutor's office and Deputy Prosecutor Giorgio Milillo, maintaining the utmost confidentiality regarding the matter for the time being. Experts from the Carabinieri Survey Section have also arrived at the facility. Investigators have collected several testimonies from the residence's staff and relatives.
