Giugliano in Campania – A 26-year-old man beats his girlfriend and drags her by her hair into the street. He was stabbed by an unknown assailant in revenge before being arrested by the Carabinieri for assault and stalking.

The incident occurred at dawn in the Varcaturo area of ​​Giugliano. Around 7:00 a.m., Carabinieri were alerted by a call to 112 reporting the presence of an injured man on Via Carrafiello, near a hotel. When Carabinieri from the Varcaturo station arrived, they found a 26-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, trying to stab a stab wound on his arm with a sheet.

The 118 medics transferred the young man, accompanied by the Carabinieri, to the Santa Maria delle Grazie Hospital in Pozzuoli.

But it was in the emergency room that the incident unfolded before the officers' eyes: a 25-year-old woman had arrived in the triage room for treatment. The 26-year-old saw her and began threatening her. Furious, he lunged at her and kicked her in the chest. The Carabinieri then restrained him and attempted to speak with the 25-year-old. Frightened and terrified, she explained that the young man was her boyfriend and that her return from an evening with friends had turned into a nightmare of violence and threats. The violent argument was sparked by a trivial matter: the 26-year-old had accidentally damaged his girlfriend's glasses.

As they were opening the door to the hotel room where he lives, the young man grabbed the 25-year-old woman by the hair and dragged her through the hotel until he took her out into the street. He kicked and punched her, but fortunately, the 25-year-old managed to escape and take refuge at her parents' house, who live nearby.

From there, the young woman, accompanied by her family, went to the Pozzuoli hospital, where her boyfriend, who had been injured in the arm, also arrived. Both were given a 10-day recovery prognosis.

Investigations revealed that shortly after the attack on his girlfriend, the 26-year-old was approached by someone in a car who allegedly attacked him with a knife in defense of the girl. The 25-year-old's complaint, which claimed she had long been a victim of her boyfriend's violence, jealous outbursts, and obsessive control, led to the young man being arrested and charged with assault and stalking.
