In the evening, in Cesa, Carabinieri officers from the Operations and Radiomobile Unit of the Aversa Company intercepted an 18-year-old man, a resident of the Naples area, who, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to flee on a Honda SH 350 scooter along Via Atellana. After a brief chase, the driver lost control and fell onto the pavement. Emergency medical services assisted the man and took him to the emergency room of Aversa hospital; he was subsequently arrested.
During the search of his person and vehicle, five packages containing a total of 1,18 grams of cocaine and a small package containing 1,31 grams of marijuana were found. The arrested man was found in possession of €735 in cash, a precision scale, and packaging materials. The materials were seized and made available to the judicial authorities; the money will be deposited in a judicial deposit book.
The arrested man was taken to the hospital for medical checks and subsequently placed under house arrest at his home, as ordered by the judicial authorities, who were informed by the Carabinieri of the Aversa Company's Mobile Radio Unit. The case remains under review by the judicial authorities and will be determined in subsequent phases, respecting the presumption of innocence.
