Scafati - Approximately 500 kilograms of contraband cigarettes were seized in Scafati. This morning, judicial police officers from the Salerno provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza and the Scafati company executed an order from the investigating judge of the Nocera Inferiore Court, requested by the local prosecutor's office.

The measure, the mandatory residence, concerns three Italian nationals. The crime they are charged with is the smuggling of foreign manufactured tobacco.

According to the prosecution's hypothesis, the three operated a supply and marketing network. Part of the shipment, approximately 240 kilograms of cigarettes of various brands, was found in a garage in Scafati. Other supplies were stored in other locations in the same municipality, ready for retail distribution, primarily in the Naples area.

In total, the investigation led to the seizure of approximately 500 kilograms. The order is a precautionary measure: the suspects remain presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
