The Italian State Police concluded the national initiative 'A Social Life - Action Week', with educational sessions in schools across Italy, including Naples, to promote online safety and a culture of legality.

A life on social media, an initiative of the state police
The national initiative promoted by the State Police, aimed at educating young people about the risks of the internet and the consequences of illegal behavior, concluded with widespread participation. From September 28th to October 9th, Postal Police specialists met with students, teachers, and parents at schools across the country.
Approximately 300 schools were involved, along with approximately 40,000 students and over 3,000 teachers. Approximately 500 parents attended the dedicated events. In Naples and the surrounding province, the meetings were attended by approximately 1.650 students and 100 teachers.
The meetings focused on online safety and the culture of legality, with a particular focus on the spread of violent content and hate speech on social media. The risks associated with virtual groups and communities that can generate copycat dynamics, radicalization, and incitement to violence were analyzed. It emerged how these phenomena can lead to concrete behaviors, such as threats or attacks against peers or school staff, and even episodes of social alarm. Special attention was paid to issues such as bullying, cyberbullying, sextortion, and the non-consensual dissemination of intimate images, highlighting the lasting impact of shared content.
The staff explained legal concepts and responsibilities using age-appropriate language, detailing the aggravating circumstances for unlawful conduct in school. Direct dialogue highlighted the importance of active family involvement, with afternoon meetings emphasizing the need for shared educational responsibility between school, parents, and institutions.
At the end of this phase, the traveling campaign will continue: the State Police will continue to travel nationwide aboard the truck, revamped as the "Truck Inspector," to meet new students and promote responsible use of the internet.
