

A Formia businessman dies after a month in an accident on the A3 motorway.
Naples – A month ago, the tragic accident on the A3 motorway occurred: Alfredo Vezzà, 51, died from the severe injuries he sustained in the accident on October 2nd. He died last Monday at the Policlinico Hospital in Naples, and yesterday an autopsy confirmed his injuries were fatal.
The tragic end for the well-known businessman from Formia came after 26 days of agony. The 51-year-old was returning to Lazio after visiting a friend in Campania. Vezzà was traveling along the Naples-Pompei-Salerno highway toward the Naples ring road and the Statale Domiziana highway to return home when, a few hundred meters from the A3 junction, his car was violently hit by a truck.
His condition immediately appeared desperate: he was rescued and rushed to the Policlinico hospital where he remained hospitalized in intensive care until last Monday.
The autopsy ordered by Deputy Prosecutor Luigi Santulli of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office and performed at the Second Polyclinic morgue was completed yesterday. The forensic examination confirmed that death was caused by devastating head trauma and multiple injuries sustained in the extremely violent impact.
The investigations and surveys carried out by the Angri Highway Police officers into the exact dynamics of the collision are still underway, and they will have to clarify any responsibilities.
