Two men from Casavatore, aged 57 and 49, were arrested by the Carabinieri after witnessing an alleged exchange of drug money outside a bar. Hidden in their car were 61 doses of cocaine and €1.055 in cash.

Casavatore, two drug dealers arrested: tensions remain high within the clans.
Carabinieri officers from the Casavatore station patrolled sensitive areas of the town north of Naples, resulting in the arrest of two residents known to law enforcement: Carmine Buccino and Salvatore Orefice, aged 57 and 49, respectively.
During the operation, a customer approached a car parked in front of a bar, exchanging a banknote for what appeared to be a dose of drugs. The officers, standing nearby, stopped the driver's apparent escape attempt. The customer managed to escape.
The search resulted in the seizure of 61 doses of cocaine hidden in two denim bags in the car. €890 in cash was found in the pockets of the 57-year-old; the 49-year-old also had access to cash, with €165 seized.
Those arrested were taken to prison on charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. Investigations are now continuing to track down their suppliers, the group of customers on whose behalf they were dealing.
The Carabinieri continue to patrol the city. There are fears that the verbal altercation on social media between the Amato-Pagano and Ferone families could escalate into an armed clash, resulting in bloodshed.
