Naples: Drug dealer under house arrest evades drug dealing; arrested

Naples – Yesterday afternoon, during a territorial patrol, officers from the State Police's Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue arrested a 27-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, with a criminal record.

The operation began on Via Amerigo Vespucci, where officers spotted the young man. Upon seeing the patrol, the 27-year-old allegedly threw away a small bag and attempted to quickly run away.

The officers chased him and caught up with him, apprehending him shortly thereafter. During the search, the young man was found in possession of €75, in banknotes and coins of various denominations. The small bag, recovered by the officers, contained eight wraps of cocaine and crack.

Subsequent investigations also revealed that the 27-year-old was under house arrest for previous drug-related offenses. For this reason, he was arrested on charges of escape and illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

As required by law, the responsibility of the accused must be ascertained with a final sentence.
