Naples, minimarket assault: owner struck in the head with gun butt

Naples – A minimarket at Via Leopardi, number 98, in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood, was robbed overnight. The business owner, a 24-year-old man of Pakistani origin, was attacked and struck in the head with a pistol butt during the attack by three masked men.

The assault during the robbery

According to an initial reconstruction of events, the three criminals broke into the store and, during the robbery, struck the shopkeeper in the head with the butt of their gun. After taking the register, the perpetrators fled, disappearing without a trace.

The owner hospitalized at San Paolo

Carabinieri from the Naples Mobile Radio Unit and the Bagnoli Police Department responded to the scene, alerted by the robbery. The injured 24-year-old was taken to San Paolo Hospital, where he was taken into the care of paramedics. He remains hospitalized for observation.
