A new agreement has been announced between the Banco Napoli Foundation's Historical Archive Museum and City Sightseeing Naples, aimed at promoting awareness of Naples' documentary heritage and expanding opportunities for visiting the city.
The signing is scheduled for Thursday, October 15th at 12 noon, at Palazzo Ricca (Via dei Tribunali, 213).
The collaboration brings together two ways to discover Naples: the City Sightseeing tour buses that tour the city's most significant sites, and the experience of the Museum of the Historical Archives of the Bank of Naples, a UNESCO Memory of the World Register heritage site.
Promoting the Historical Archives is a central mission of the Banco di Napoli Foundation, which therefore supports initiatives aimed at promoting its awareness among the local community and visitors from around the world. In this sense, the collaboration between the Museum and City Sightseeing Naples aims to be a dual invitation to a city tour, combining the beauty of Neapolitan urban views and monuments with the depth of its historical memory.
The agreement represents an important opportunity to draw attention to a less immediately visible heritage, yet one that is fundamental to understanding the economic and social history of Naples,” adds Marcello D'Aponte, “because through the records of the ancient Neapolitan public banks, the Archive recounts over four centuries of the city's life, bringing to light stories, characters, and daily events. Anyone who comes to Naples and discovers its history cannot fail to experience such an iconic, significant place, steeped in the city's history.
We are proud to sign this partnership with the Museum of the Historical Archives of the Bank of Naples, an institution that embodies the soul and most authentic memory of our city,” says Antonietta Sannino, CEO of City Sightseeing Naples. “Our mission is not limited to transporting visitors to the scenic beauty and monuments of Naples, but also aims to create synergies within the area and accompany tourists on an immersive journey into its culture. Offering an integrated experience between a scenic journey and immersion in historical heritage is the key to quality tourism.
The agreement provides for the exchange of informational materials and specific discounts on ticket prices for visitors who use the services of the two organizations. This offers visitors to Naples new insights into the city, combining the experience of its sites with the discovery of the stories preserved in its documentary heritage.
The signing of the agreement strengthens the link between the City Tour and the discovery of the treasures of the Banco di Napoli Foundation Archives, highlighting a tourism model that integrates cultural heritage and tourist enjoyment.
