Bad news for Napoli from the Italy Under-21 training camp. Costantino Favasuli suffered a muscle injury during the Armenia-Italy match, a fixture for the youth national team.
The Italian full-back suffered a right thigh injury during the match, playing only the first half before remaining in the locker room for halftime. Tests revealed a grade-II tear of the rectus femoris.
Napoli announced the results of the tests and that the player has already left the Under-21 training camp to return to his base. "During the Armenia-Italy U21 match, he suffered a muscle injury, resulting in a grade-two tear of the rectus femoris in his right thigh," the club announced.
Favasuli will begin his recovery process tomorrow at the Napoli Training Center, where he will be monitored by the team's medical staff. The injury occurred during his international break and will force the player to focus on rehabilitation while awaiting confirmation of his return to action.
