Poggiomarino: A car overturns at a level crossing, halting the Circumvesuviana train for an hour.

This morning, for reasons still under investigation, a 22-year-old woman driving her Lancia Y lost control and overturned. The car ended up on its side, blocking the level crossing of the EAV – Circumvesuviana line.

Disruptions on the railway line

The vehicle stopped on the railway line, interrupting traffic along the Poggiomarino-Striano-Sarno route for approximately an hour. To minimize inconvenience to passengers, replacement bus services were activated. Traffic was subsequently restored to normal.

Minor injury and investigations

The woman was treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel for abrasions. Her life is not in danger. Carabinieri from the Torre Annunziata Carabinieri Radiomobile Section are investigating the incident, conducting investigations and managing the emergency.
