Anti-Camorra in Campania: Report approved: the project will bring the Commission to five provinces.

The Special Anti-Camorra, Confiscated Assets, and Land of Fires Commission of the Campania Regional Council has unanimously approved the General Report of the project "The Anti-Camorra Commission on the Territory: Against the Camorra for Legality."

The document, presented by Commission President Vincenzo Santangelo, aims to bring institutional activity directly to communities through a series of events in the five provinces of Campania, involving local governments, schools, and the wider community.

"I thank all the members of the Commission for their unity and sensitivity," Santangelo stated. "The Commission today demonstrated political maturity by uniting, across political lines, for legality against the Camorra. This path unites Campania in a single, broad democratic front that does not retreat in the face of the Camorra and cultivates the seeds of redemption in young people."

The initiative stems from a desire to strengthen the institutional presence in the local communities. "The fight against organized crime cannot remain confined to council chambers; we have a moral and political duty to bring the state directly into the communities, supporting those who defend legality on the front lines every day," Santangelo emphasized.

The program includes stops dedicated to engaging with local communities and schools. "Behind every innocent victim lies a wounded community and a future stolen from our land," stated the Commission president, explaining that the goal is to transform memory into "daily, participatory civic action."

Collaboration with the Carabinieri and the Carabinieri Biodiversity Unit will also play a key role. Each event will include the planting of "Falcone Cuttings," as part of the national "A Tree for the Future" project. "By entrusting these living monuments of justice to schools and young people, we will create a true Forest of Legality in Campania," said Santangelo.

The project's operational launch is scheduled for Monday, October 12th, in Maddaloni, in the province of Caserta, on the anniversary of the assassination of trade unionist Franco Imposimato. The initiative's symbolic tree will be planted at the Franco Imposimato Comprehensive School, while an institutional and social discussion session will be held at the Villaggio dei Ragazzi Foundation.
