Casal di Principe: Driver flees from Carabinieri station while driving with an expired license; chased and reported.

A 30-year-old resident of Frignano was reported by the Carabinieri after attempting to escape from the police in Casal di Principe.

The incident occurred last night when a Mini Cooper in transit was initially stopped by the Carabinieri Radiomobile Section, in Via Mastroianni.

The driver failed to stop at the checkpoint and accelerated in an attempt to evade detection. The chase was short-lived, ending in a dead-end street where the car was forced to stop and officers proceeded to identify it.

Further investigations revealed irregularities: the driver was driving with an expired license, and the vehicle was subject to administrative seizure. For these violations, the penalties provided for by the Highway Code were contested.

At the conclusion of the operation, the man, a 30-year-old resident of Frignano, was reported to the Judicial Authorities for resisting arrest. The operation is part of the Carabinieri's daily patrols to prevent illegal conduct and ensure traffic safety.

The proceedings are currently in the preliminary investigation phase, and the responsibility of the accused person must be determined in court, in compliance with the principle of presumption of innocence.

The incident involved a patrol car from the Caserta Carabinieri Mobile Radio Unit. The car involved was a Mini Cooper.
