The Galleria Principe di Napoli arcade has been cleaned and sanitized, with trash and furnishings removed.

Cleaning and restoration of the Galleria Principe di Napoli. This morning, the portico overlooking Piazza Museo and Via Costantinopoli underwent a clearing, cleaning, and sanitization operation, coordinated by the Permanent Technical Committee for Urban Decor.

Social workers from the City of Naples and officers from the Investigative, Environmental, and Social Emergencies Unit of the Local Police responded to the scene. Five homeless people were in the area, using the porch as a shelter and who voluntarily chose to leave.

At that point, Napoli Servizi staff cleared the space, removing a significant amount of waste and abandoned items. Among the recovered items were mostly unusable blankets and clothing.

The next phase was entrusted to Asia's workers, who collected the waste and sanitized the entire area. This work eliminated the deterioration that had developed under the portico and restored the space to a more pristine condition.

The operations also allow the restoration of the Galleria Principe di Napoli to continue under optimal conditions. The work was coordinated by the Permanent Technical Committee for Urban Decor, led by Ciro Turiello and established by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi. The committee brings together the relevant departments, municipal services, municipalities, associated companies, social services, and the local police.

The Committee's task is to address critical issues related to urban decorum, the livability of public spaces, and social emergencies, through coordination between the various stakeholders involved.
