Yesterday evening, the Carabinieri of the Acerra station executed a precautionary detention order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Nola Court, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office.
The measure concerns a 48-year-old man and his 47-year-old partner, investigated in connection with the shooting that occurred on the night of November 18, 2025, at the premises of the Acerra Serd, the Addiction Service.
According to the investigation, coordinated by the Nola Public Prosecutor's Office, at least four shots were fired at the facility using 9x19 caliber ammunition bearing NATO markings. Investigators believe the action was intended to intimidate, retaliate, and demonstrate.
The underlying cause of the case appears to be the woman's family situation, which the Juvenile Court has subjected her to periodic drug tests at the Serd. The latest tests have revealed she tested positive for cocaine and heroin, leading to the prospect of placing the couple's youngest daughter outside the family unit.
In this context, according to the investigation's hypothesis, the two suspects developed resentment toward the center's staff. The man allegedly fired the shots, while his partner allegedly helped plan the attack by providing the weapons used.
The order was issued during the preliminary investigation phase and requires both parties to be held in prison. The legal remedies available to appeal the order are available.
The suspects are currently only under investigation: their responsibility can only be definitively established with a final sentence, in accordance with the constitutional principle of presumption of innocence.
