In Pozzuoli a member of the Longobardi Beneduce clan was arrested and accused of extortion to the detriment of the owner of a betting room.
This morning, in fact, the local Carabinieri Company executed the order for the application of a precautionary custody measure in prison – issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office – against Coppola Gennaro, seriously suspected of multiple episodes of attempted extortion, aggravated by the mafia method – committed against the owner of a betting centre in Pozzuoli.
The investigative activity, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli Operations Section, made it possible to acquire serious indications of guilt against the suspect, already definitively convicted of mafia-type association as he belongs to the Camorra clan "Longobardi - Beneduce".
