The epidemic curve in Italy is still decreasing. There are 24.408 new cases, compared to 42.081 yesterday but above all to 28.630 last Monday: a weekly decrease of 15%, slowed down compared to -30% last week.
The swabs processed are 231.766 (yesterday 372.776) with the positivity rate dropping from 11,3% to 10,5%. The deaths are 201 (yesterday 141): the total victims since the beginning of the pandemic are 153.190.
Intensive care units are still decreasing, 6 fewer (yesterday -19) with 55 admissions today and are down to a total of 928, while ordinary hospitalizations are increasing again (but the post-weekend period has always been characterized by few discharges): 91 more (yesterday -103), 13.375 in total.
This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The region with the highest number of cases today is Lazio with 3.121 infections, followed by Sicily (+2.466), Campania (+2.320), Emilia Romagna (+2.111) and Piedmont (+2.047).
Total cases reach 12.494.459. The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 50.659 (yesterday 63.492) for a total that rises to 11.019.298. For this reason, the currently positive are still decreasing, 26.376 less (yesterday -21.431), and fall to 1.321.971. Of these 1.307.668 patients are in home isolation.
