Casavatore. Kalashnikov robbery in the restaurant 'Un posto al sole', third accomplice arrested.
The Carabinieri of Casoria and Casavatore have executed a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples North at the request of the Prosecutor's Office against a 23-year-old Neapolitan, accused of having broken into the restaurant 'Un posto al sole' in Casavatore on 9 October last year.
The robbery caused quite a stir because the bandits, armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a Kalashnikov, pointed the gun at a 3-year-old boy sitting at a table with his parents and terrorized the customers of the place in order to steal money and jewelry.
The investigations have already led to the issuing of an arrest warrant against three individuals involved in the commission of robberies using weapons, executed by the Carabinieri on 22 November 2021.
Two of the three arrested robbers were involved in the robbery at the Casavatore restaurant, in particular the man who entered the restaurant with the Kalashnikov and the individual who had played the role of the so-called "spinner", indicating to his accomplices the victims to rob.
Both have already been sentenced in the first instance to 10 and 8 years of imprisonment respectively. The investigations continued with the aim of identifying the third subject, the robber who entered the restaurant armed with a sawn-off shotgun.
Through wiretaps, analysis of telephone records from video surveillance systems and technical checks aimed at highlighting his physical characteristics, a search was carried out in the 23-year-old's home, which allowed the clothes worn by the third robber to be found and seized.
Yesterday afternoon the young man ended up in prison.
