On the staff increases for the police force, the Minister of the Interior Lamorgese from Naples says: “The government has been careful in this, we will provide further requests that we will see to carry forward as a government in this year's budget”.
“We have already made the effort, by June additional units will enter from the competitions that have just concluded with the training courses that unfortunately were blocked last year due to the pandemic”.
This is how the Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese – in Naples for the International Conference on the Palermo Convention – responded to reporters who asked her whether the Ministry plans to send new police forces to Naples.
"We – continued the minister, arriving at the Royal Palace – we are doing our best and among other things the attention we dedicate to Naples is also seen by the times I have come to this city. We have created committees, today after this very important meeting organized by Migliore I will go to the Prefecture to take stock of the situation with all the territorial police forces.
Attention – concluded the head of the Ministry of the Interior – it is therefore maximum, absolutely. We will also talk about video surveillance, because I believe it is important to take stock of video surveillance which also represents a method to ensure the safety of the city, and therefore the commitment is there”.
“Relations with the mayor? They are excellent, I have excellent professional and personal relations with the mayor. So really maximum collaboration”.
