Migrants, Ocean Viking in Salerno, Sos Mediteranee: they have all disembarked. Governor De Luca had asked for a stop due to a Covid outbreak.

“The rescue operations of the 387 women, men and children rescued by the crew of Ocean Viking between 24 and 25 July have finally ended. They all disembarked today in the port of Salerno”.

The OceanViking ship docked in the port of Salerno this morning and the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, had openly sided with a halt to disembarkation operations in light of the too many positive cases of Covid found on board.
