Barbara Pasetti confesses to the murder of Gigi Bici from Castellammare di Stabia

Barbara Pasetti, a physiotherapist from Calignano di Cura Carpignano, has been in prison since January 20. She is charged with the murder of Gigi Bici, the bicycle dealer originally from Castellammare di Stabia, who was found dead in December 2021.

The accusations are confirmed by the woman's confession, communicated by the notice of closure of the investigation by the prosecutor's office in the Vigevano prison.

A turning point in the case of Luigi Criscuolo, known to everyone in Pavia as “Gigi Bici”, the 60-year-old bicycle salesman found dead on December 20, 2021. The one who confessed was Barbara Pasetti, the physiotherapist already accused of murder, who declared that she killed him after the man asked her for money. The charges of aggravated murder and attempted extortion remain.

Criscuolo had disappeared and was killed on November 8, 2021 by the 40-year-old with a gunshot to the temple. The weapon of the crime had been procured by the victim herself for Barbara, who had commissioned him to kill her ex-husband.

The man, however, refused. The man was found dead only a month later, on December 20, 2021. It was Pasetti who raised the alarm of his death, but not before taking photos of Gigi Bici's body.

The woman in front of the prosecutor: "She wanted money"

According to the latest investigations by the Prosecutor's Office, the events occurred suddenly and substantially by chance. The last phase of the investigation, "was aimed at seeking further elements to support the accusation, which was fully confirmed by the statements made by Pasetti during the interrogation".

According to the woman, it was Criscuolo's requests for money that led her to have personal relations with Criscuolo.

The analyses carried out in recent months on objects seized in October, in the suspect's home in Calignano, focused on a black men's bicycle (presumably belonging to the victim), some letters and two ropes that would have been used to transport the victim's body to the place where it was later found.
