It is with deep emotion that AMICI Italia and the entire community of patients affected by Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases learn of the passing of Dr. Francesco Manguso, esteemed doctor of the A. Cardarelli Hospital in Naples and irreplaceable member of our Scientific Medical Committee.
Article Key Points
A doctor: competence and humanity
Francesco was much more than a top-level professional: he embodied the perfect balance between scientific rigor and human warmth. Every time he approached a clinical history, he did so with the attention and respect that one reserves for a human being with a story to tell. For him, each patient was not a simple case, but a person to listen to, understand and accompany.
Passion for life and art
In addition to his dedication to medicine, Dr. Manguso had a great passion for photography. Through his lens, he was able to capture the most intimate nuances of everyday life, revealing the beauty hidden in the details. As in medicine, in photography too his gaze was always directed towards the essential: the relationship, listening, respect for others.
A beacon for colleagues and patients
In the hospital, Francesco was known for his ability to lead with kindness and competence. Colleagues remember his patient smile, his willingness to share knowledge and the strength with which he faced every difficulty. Patients, in turn, found in him a safe point of reference, capable of instilling hope even in the darkest moments.
Condolences from AMICI Italia
In these hours of grief, AMICI Italia extends its heartfelt thoughts to the family of Dr. Manguso, to his colleagues at the Cardarelli Hospital, and to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His professional and human legacy will live on through the care and commitment we dedicate to our patients every day.
