The House of Haunted House is the title of the new Disney adventure that will hit Italian theaters on August 23, but the Giffoni jurors, coming from over thirty nations, will be able to see it in preview on July 27 as part of the 53rd edition of the festival, scheduled from the 20th to the 29th.
It will be an extraordinary opportunity, intended not only for the jurors but for the entire festival audience who will have the opportunity, with a double screening, to exclusively experience this thrilling adventure.
Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Walt Disney Pictures’ Haunted Mansion follows a woman and her son who turn to a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help them rid their home of supernatural intruders.
Directed by Justin Simien (Bad Hair, Dear White People) from a screenplay by Katie Dippold (The Heat, Ghostbusters), the film stars an all-star comedic ensemble that includes LaKeith Stanfield (Knives Out), Tiffany Haddish (Bad Trip), Owen Wilson (Loki), Danny DeVito (Jumanji: The Next Level), Rosario Dawson (Zombieland: Double Tap), Chase W. Dillon (The Underground Railroad), Dan Levy (Schitt's Creek), with Academy Award® winners Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Jared Leto (House of Gucci).
Director Justin Simien said, “Our team has worked tirelessly to deliver a terrifying, funny and otherworldly cinematic adventure for new and returning fans alike! I can’t wait for audiences to experience this big-screen version of Disney’s iconic attraction.”
The film is produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich (Aladdin). Nick Reynolds (Easter Sunday) and Tom Peitzman (The Lion King) are the executive producers.
