The triumph of the Castellammare perbene. Two generations facing each other with a single goal: to give dignity to their City by example.
The seventh edition of Rosso di Stabia also showcased the jewels that bring the name of Castellammare to the fore in Italy and abroad. Despite the many difficulties, the city of Stabia continues to churn out stars of cinema, TV, and theater, is able to conquer space, thanks to the team of aerospace engineer Norberto Salza and the company le ALI, to be an ambassador of Made in Italy, through Amerigo Vespucci, to have scientists who work to improve our lives and to be the mother of many sports champions.
In order of delivery, the Radici Award went to Loredana Vecchione, a scientific researcher specializing in oncology at the Berlin Hospital, to the actor Giuseppe De Rosa who boasts an amazing career so much so that he has been directed by Eduardo, Lina Wertmuller, Nanni Loy and many others, to the actor Alessio Lapice, the last king but also Inspector Roller in the film saga dedicated to Diabolik and then the delightful Marshal Calogiuri in the successful fiction Imma Tataranni deputy prosecutor broadcast on Raiuno.
Then the Radici Award went to the Stabia Space Village project, conceived by the start-up Vacanze Spaziali which aims to introduce students to the world of space technologies and innovation, creating a tutoring path for the launch of new “young” start-ups by developing the mentality of “creating work and not finding work”, to Ondina Sannino, a refined jazz singer as well as an expert in Afro-Cuban music and bossa nova.
Actor Massimiliano Caiazzo, star of “Mare fuori”, won the Ciak d'oro in the category of actors under thirty and the Nastro d'Argento for the film Piano piano.
Then to the actress Mariana Falace directed by Carlo Verdone in the film “You Only Live Once”, Paolo Sorrentino in “It Was the Hand of God” and by Gabriele Muccino in “The Most Beautiful Years”, to the footballer, now talent scout, Raffaele Ametrano winner of a European Under 21 championship and an intercontinental cup and finally to the actress Federica Citarella, child prodigy of Italian TV with participation in numerous Mediaset fictions including “Sei forte maestro” with Emilio Solfrizzi, “Il mammo” with Enzo Iacchetti and “Carabinieri” alongside Alessia Marcuzzi.
The Vespucci Prize, after the writer Maurizio De Giovanni and the astrophysicist Mariafelicia de Laurentiis, was awarded to Gabriel Zuchtriegel, director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii who brings the beauty and charm of our land around the world.
A commemorative plaque was given to Catello Schiavone, head of the procession of the patron saint of Stabia.
Demis Autellitano, choreographer of Rosso di Stabia, wanted to remember with a magnificent ballet the great Lucio Dalla who loved our Castellammare so much.
A heartfelt thanks goes to all those who supported us and especially to the public that crowded the Supercinema, the Municipality of Castellammare, the very special Paola Longobardi and Patrizia Coppola, the police forces, the Ross of Castellammare, the Hotel Stabia, Giovanna del Gaudio, the Fontana bar, Natale Montillo, Antonello De Simone's team and many others.
The awards, created by the master Catello De Simone of Ottica Marilene, reproduce frescoes from the Stabian villas.
What pride to be Stabiesi with a team like this. We have the choice between rubbish and beauty.
Personally, I had a lot of fun presenting it together with the splendid Mariasilvia Malvone and carrying it forward with its creator, the imaginative Stefano Fontanella.
