Tomorrow the Sicilian singer-songwriter will tell her story together with Marina Rei in the Agorà hosted by Gianni Simioli, before the live performance (sold out) at the Parco urbano dell'Irno

Great music, in dialogue with philosophy, will be the protagonist on October 13th in Salerno (21.30 pm) with the concert of feat. Marina Rei, as part of . Dialogues, sounds, visions, the festival dedicated to young people underway at the Irno Urban Park until October 15. The program for the second day of the festival includes five talks held by philosophers, academics, journalists and experts in new technologies: Domenico Iannacone, Gino Castaldo, Pietro Del Soldà and Ilaria Gaspari, Francesco Paolo Adorno, Emanuele Zingale, Adolfo Fattori, Massimo De Santo, Domenico Spinosa.

The inauguration took place this morning at the “Antonio Ghirelli” Theatre, in the presence of the mayor of Salerno Vincenzo and the sole director of Scabec Pantaleone Annunziata, with the lecture on the myth of Achilles held by Matteo Nucci and Valentina Carnelutti, attended by students from all over Campania. The myth of Paestum was instead the subject of the meeting that followed with the director of the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia, Tiziana D'Angelo, and the director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, Giuseppe Gaeta.

Cant con Kant, a festival of philosophy and music, will come to life tomorrow from 10 am with ControKANTo: the story of life from another angle by Domenico Iannacone: modern man, captured by the ephemeral, often neglects those who, at the edges of society, seek recognition; the marginalized, the rebels, offer us a lens through which we can broaden our vision and better understand the complexity of the human being.

At 11.00:XNUMX, Pietro del Soldà and Ilaria Gaspari (Saying Emotions: Between Philosophy and Literature), starting from the motto of ancient wisdom “know thyself”, will guide girls and boys to the discovery of the small and large paradoxes of the art of telling oneself, showing the path that leads each voice to become part of a great collective story in which life experiences reverberate with each other, and open up to the possibility of an active understanding of otherness.

Technological imaginations and artificial intelligence is the theme of the last morning appointment with Emanuele Zingale, Adolfo Fattori, Massimo De Santo and Domenico Spinosa: we continually ask ourselves about the future that awaits us: how much will what we define as our destiny be determined – or described – by new technologies?

In different ways, new technologies and social media have significantly complicated the relationship we have with our bodies, producing disorders of all kinds (depression, dysmorphia), rather disturbing practices (extreme piercings, scarifications), and outrageous and offensive behaviors (body shaming, cyberbullying). Can philosophy tell us something about how to have a more serene relationship with our bodies? Francesco Paolo Adorno will talk about it at 17.00:XNUMX pm with the lecture Body, new technologies, social media.

The festival, with the artistic direction of Stefano Piccolo, will open to music already at 19:30 pm in the Agorà: sounds, thoughts and words. Carmen Consoli and Marina Rei will tell their stories in the talk hosted by Gianni Simioli, and then, at 21.30:XNUMX pm, go on stage in front of a sold-out audience.

“We tried to reawaken the wonder of young people towards philosophy and not only – declared the sole director of Scabec Pantaleone Annunziata –. We are happy and proud of the important response in terms of attendance that we have already had on this first day. In a small way we wanted to take up Plato's synthesis in The Republic: young people must listen to the rhythm of thought, through the perfect synthesis of music and philosophy."

Also inaugurated this morning in the Sala Ghirelli is the theatre workshop Quando il corpo racconta – curated by Ablativo and led by Fabio Pisano and Roberto Ingenito – which will return tomorrow (14 pm) with a four-hour full immersion dedicated to the osmotic path between philosophy and theatre.

Sing with Kant. Dialogues, sounds, visions is part of “Youth and musical culture”, the project of the Campania Region that aims to support youth creativity also through the Filosofiadi, the “philosophy Olympics” dedicated to high schools, and the publication – by the end of the year – of the call for proposals “The Campania Region for young people” to support specific projects of Campania cultural institutions.

The event is planned and financed by the Campania Region (funds from the Campania Region and the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service) through Scabec and realized with the patronage of the Municipality of Salerno and the moral patronage of the University of Salerno, the University of Naples Federico II - Department of Humanistic Studies, the Italian Philosophical Society and the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies.
