The prisoner who escaped on September 21 from the San Paolo hospital in Milan has been captured. The arrest took place in Geneva.
The Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Ostellari announced the news in a post on Facebook, expressing his thanks to "Interpol, the Penitentiary Police, all the police forces and investigators who collaborated in the arrest" and dedicating the result to Carmine De Rosa "the agent, still hospitalized, who did not hesitate to risk his life to stop him".
On the morning of September 21, around 5:XNUMX a.m., Mordjane had thrown himself from the bathroom window of the hospital on the first floor of the building. In an attempt to reach him, De Rosa, who was guarding him, had fallen a few meters into a cavity, hitting his head.
The prison police officer, the 28-year-old Napoli, Carmine De Rosa, had gotten up and headed to the emergency room on his own, but his condition worsened in a few minutes. Therefore, the doctors had decided to transfer him to the San Carlo hospital where he underwent two surgical operations. De Rosa then entered a pharmacological coma, from which he came out a few days ago.
