Barra, threatens wife with hammer: 62-year-old arrested

During a territorial check in the Barra area , last night, State Police officers intervened following a report of a woman being threatened by her husband.

The woman told officers that her husband had threatened her with a hammer, a piece of marble and a knife, and that he had also damaged the front door in an attempt to break in.

The police immediately searched for and found the man, a 62-year-old Neapolitan, still in possession of the hammer and knife. After a short but difficult intervention, the man was stopped and arrested on charges of stalking and resisting a public official.
