No to the sale of former Carrefour stores in Campania: unions protest

Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs Uil of Campania are taking action against the paved sale of the former Carrefour stores , approximately 500 workers, managed by the Geodesia Group (formerly Carrefour) now Rossotono, to a local competitor that applies an employment contract that does not comply with current regulations (Cisal contract).

The operation, announced at the Campania Region table, was defined as unacceptable by the three trade unions. They condemned the disinterest of Carrefour, which had guaranteed the maintenance of jobs and contractual conditions, and the lack of reliability of the French company.

The sale, according to the unions, would lead to a worsening of working conditions and wages for employees, already disappointed by the failed commercial relaunch plans.

Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs Uil are firmly opposed to:

“Splintering” operations that fragment the sales network
Transfers that do not guarantee the maintenance of workers' rights and contractual protections

The three acronyms ask for a transparent negotiation on the future of the sales network, which aims at:

Defending employment
Relaunching the business
Enhance trade union relations
Apply the national collective bargaining agreement (CCNI)
For this reason, they proclaim a strike for Saturday 13 July 2024 and declare themselves available to:

Sharing a path to manage the crisis
Ensure current employment, contractual and salary levels
Fight for transfers to other chains or groups that respect the law and offer guarantees for the future of workers

The goal is to protect workers' rights and ensure a stable future for the company.
