“Kind of BILL”, a tribute to Bill Evans with Dado Moroni, Eddie Gomez and Joe La Barbera
The Lido Varca d'Oro (Riviera Flegrea Domitia, Via Orsa Maggiore – Marina di Varcaturo) hosts the “#Ittateveamare Jazz Festival”, the first jazz festival walking in the sand, “son” of an idea of the owner, a great music lover, Salvatore Trinchillo.
On Thursday 18th July the music of the great Bill Evans will be the star of the evening with the show “Kind of Bill” with Dado Moroni, Eddie Gomez and Joe La Barbera.
“Kind of Bill, a tribute to Bill Evans”, is a musical project aimed at celebrating one of the most fascinating aspects of the great jazz musician's music: the immortality of his message.
The title Kind of Bill captures the spirit of the project created by pianist Dado Moroni, bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Joe La Barbera, musicians who over time have given an enormous contribution to Evans' music, giving new life to the ideas of the great pianist.
A tribute to Evans' repertoire, but also to the world of jazz, Kind of Bill includes Bill's compositions, standards that under his fingers became almost completely new and original pieces, and compositions written by Moroni, Gomez and La Barbera.
