Piazza Duomo is ready to transform into an elegant living room to welcome the extraordinary artist, singer and television personality, in a unique atmosphere, for an acoustic piano and voice set.

An extraordinary event, Monday 2 September 2024 at 21.30:XNUMX pm: in the foreground, on the steps of the monumental staircase of the Cathedral, a grand piano, while the lights of Amalfi go out. The vaults and the majestic façade of Sant'Andrea will be illuminated by the light design that will give further charm to the performance.

A sophisticated interpreter, Arisa returns this summer with the single “Baciami Stupido”.

A song with summery and engaging sounds that wants to celebrate universal love in all its forms: in fact, inside there is all the symbolism of the timeless gesture of the kiss, which, for Arisa becomes "a powerful symbol of consent, a moment of vulnerability and intimacy, in which two lovers voluntarily share a deep expression of affection".

Love knows no limits and erases our differences: the manifestation of love par excellence, the kiss is that magic capable of transcending social norms, barriers of gender and sexual orientation.

The show, the grand finale of the Byzantine New Year, is the flagship event of the summer program “Amalfi Summer Fest”, promoted by the Municipality of Amalfi, led by Mayor Daniele Milano, and curated by the Councilor with responsibility for Events and Culture Enza Cobalto.

Meanwhile, the anticipation is growing between Amalfi and Atrani for the 31th edition of the Byzantine New Year, which this year will once again propose one of the glorious historical pages of the Ancient Maritime Republic. Three days of events, from August 2 to September 2024, XNUMX, in which historical insights, reenactments and musical events will alternate.

In the foreground, obviously, the presentation of the new Magister of Amalfi Civilization, the entrepreneur Franco Nuschese, among the most influential Italians in the United States, who will receive the investiture on the steps of the church of San Salvatore de Birecto in Atrani.

This event recalls an important page in Amalfi's history, which on September 1st, the day on which the comites, the leaders of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi in its aristocratic phase, took office, saw the beginning of the fiscal and legal year in the territories of the Eastern Empire.

A practice in vogue from 839, the year of birth of the autonomous republic, to the first part of the 1266th century, to then be resumed with the institution of the annual election of the representatives of the Universities of the Amalfi Coast in XNUMX, in the Angevin era, and continuing up to the Bourbons.
