Monitoring operations of non-hotel accommodation facilities, conducted by the Fuorigrotta Operations Unit of the Local Police, continue in Naples. The latest operation, carried out in collaboration with the One-Stop Shop for Productive Activities (SUAP) of the Authority, involved 32 facilities located in Municipality 10, which includes the areas of Fuorigrotta and BagnoliThe aim was to identify and sanction illegal activities among Bed & Breakfasts, holiday homes and short-term rentals.
The checks, carried out in various areas including via Diocleziano, via Giulio Cesare, via Leopardi, via Marco Polo, via Caio Duilio and piazza San Vitale, led to the issuing of six administrative sanctions. The main violations found concerned the failure to communicate the SCIA (Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity), the absence of authorization documents and the failure to comply with health and hygiene regulations.
Some of the sanctioned facilities were reported under Article 15 of Regional Law 17/2001, which regulates the management of accommodation facilities, and Article 13 of Regional Law 16/2019, regarding short-term rentals. Among the most serious violations, shortcomings in safety measures and compliance with local tourist hospitality regulations were found.
