A nurse was punched by the father of a young patient, in an attack that sparked outrage from the strategic management of ASL Napoli 3 Sud and its general manager, Giuseppe Russo.

"This is a cowardly act ," Russo declared, " targeting professionals committed to ensuring the best possible care for all patients." The health department announced it will file a complaint with the judicial authorities and will continue to enhance the security measures already in place, including a surveillance station and a point-to-point emergency response system for immediate contact with law enforcement.

The incident, which occurred on November 1st, is unfortunately part of a growing series of attacks against healthcare workers, a phenomenon that has prompted the ASL Napoli 3 Sud to adopt concrete measures to protect workers and patients, in line with the safety and protection priorities the company has set itself.
