Patrizio Spasiano
The Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office has placed three people under investigation in the death of Patrizio Spasiano, the 19-year-old who died following an ammonia leak at the Frigo Caserta plant in Gricignano d'Aversa.
These are the legal representatives of the two companies involved in the accident, FrigoCaserta of Gricignano d'Aversa and Cofrin Società Cooperativa of Villaricca: Domenico Razzano, 43 years old, from Durazzano, and Alfonso and Eramo Avola, 49 and 53 years old, from Casoria and Giugliano respectively.
Among the questions investigators will have to answer: Was the young man qualified to perform those tasks? Were all the necessary safety measures taken? The autopsy, scheduled for tomorrow, will provide crucial elements to reconstruct the dynamics of the event.
Meanwhile, the bishop of Aversa, Monsignor Angelo Spinillo, firmly condemned the incident, underlining that 'work is not for death' and asking for greater controls and prevention to guarantee the safety of workers".
