Casavatore – Lawyer Fabrizio Celaj is the new mayor of Casavatore. Fratelli d’Italia’s debacle with Mauro Muto as mayor.
A lawyer by profession, the 37-year-old won in the first round with 50,46% of the electoral consensus, taking over from a short period of receivership. The celebration for Celaj began during the night and will continue this morning, with the fact now established, when he left the electoral committee to receive the embrace of the people and parties that supported him.
"We will work together with the citizens and the entire city council to improve the fortunes of our beloved Casavatore. And to do this we will be open to dialogue and discussion without any preclusions whatsoever."
Fabrizio Celaj, with the support of the Democratic Party, Casavatore Civica, Lista Paolo Spinuso, Movimento Per Casavatore, Casavatore Viva, obtained the highest number of preferences, totaling 50,46% of the votes.
Vito Marino follows, with the support of Insieme Per Casavatore, Idea Democratica, With Vito Marino Mayor – The Voice of the Citizens, Casavatore Sei Tu, Cammino In Comune, which collected 46,94% of the votes. Finally, Mauro Muto, with Fratelli d'Italia, obtained 2,6% of the votes with only about 250 preferences.
The municipal elections in Casavatore recorded a turnout of 63,63%, a figure that compares with the 66,13% of the previous elections. Vito Marino, on the other hand, is awaiting his official statements while waiting to know the names of those elected.
