JD Salinger is often identified with The Catcher in the Rye, a novel that is a symbol of twentieth-century literature and a masterpiece that influenced generations of readers and writers. But the American writer has also left behind a literary legacy that is equally significant, and which returns today in a new editorial guise.

An event spread across seven Italian cities
To celebrate the release of the volumes, seven events will be held simultaneously in seven Italian cities on Tuesday, May 27. The initiatives will involve leading authors of the national literary scene, who will guide the public to discover the “second Salinger” through readings and reflections.
In Naples, the spotlight is on Diego De Silva and Antonella Lattanzi
In Naples, the appointment is set for 18:30 pm at the Feltrinelli bookshop in Piazza dei Martiri. The protagonists of the evening will be the writers Diego De Silva and Antonella Lattanzi, who will lead the meeting entitled *My other Salinger*. A journey through the lesser-known folds of Salinger's writing, in the name of storytelling and interpretation.
The Glass Family: The Hidden Heart of the Opera
Much more than an extension of Holden Caulfield, Salinger's fictional world revolves around the Glass family. Franny and Zooey, with the two younger brothers at its center, offers a surprisingly timely glimpse into existential unease and the difficult transition to adulthood. A text that continues to resonate in the consciences of contemporary readers.
Seymour Glass: An Absence That Speaks
Raise the Lintel, Carpenters and Seymour: Presentation explores the most enigmatic and spiritual figure in the Glass family. Seymour, though physically absent, dominates the emotional universe of the stories. His complex interiority represents a generation in search of depth, meaning, and salvation.
A collection that has made history: “Nine stories”
With *Nine Stories*, Salinger marked an era. Texts such as *A Perfect Day for Bananafish* and *For Esmé: With Love and Squalor* have become milestones of American short fiction. Readers, writers, and influencers have found inspiration and recognition in them. Now they return in a new translation designed for the sensibilities of the present.
A gift for the participants
Those who attend the events will receive a free exclusive poster entitled Leggere, created specifically for the initiative. The gadget will be available while supplies last. Admission is free, while seats last.
