Naples – A 17-year-old from Naples was arrested last night by the Carabinieri of the Pianura station for resisting a public official.
The young man, already known to the police, had escaped from a juvenile community in Salerno, where he was being held under a precautionary measure linked to a series of scams against the elderly.
I police, after receiving the report, they located the boy in an apartment in the neighborhood, where he lives. At the time of the intervention, the 17-year-old put up a strenuous resistance, attacking with kicks and punches one of the officers, who suffered injuries with a prognosis of five days. With difficulty, the soldiers managed to immobilize him and take him to the barracks.
The minor was subsequently transferred to the Nisida juvenile detention center, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The episode highlights once again the challenges faced by law enforcement in managing situations of youth distress and juvenile crime in the Neapolitan area.
