Yesterday afternoon, the State Police put an end to the rampage of a 47-year-old Neapolitan man already known to the police, arresting him for aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods. The man was caught inside a car parked at the Centro Direzionale in Naples, where he had been promptly stopped by private security personnel after a report reached the Police Operations Room.
The agents of the Vasto Police Station-Arenaccia, who intervened in via Taddeo Da Sessa, found the thief still on the spot with two screwdrivers, a steel tip and a tire inflation kit that had just been stolen from the vehicle. Among the objects in his possession was also a car radio, the provenance of which he was unable to explain.
Blocked without the possibility of escape, the 47-year-old was immediately arrested by the State Police. The episode confirms the constant attention of the police in the fight against predatory crimes in the nerve centers of the city.
