An operation by the Guardia di Finanza of Scafati led to the seizure of two LPG cylinder storage and resale centers in Scafati, Terzigno and Roccapiemonte, dismantling an illicit propane gas marketing activity.
In recent days, the financial police have executed a search and seizure order issued by the Nocera Inferiore Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of an investigation aimed at combating the distribution of unauthorized gas cylinders.
The investigations identified four locations of a company specialized in the storage, filling and resale of LPG, operating in violation of industry regulations. The cylinders, for a total of 563 units and over 3.000 liters of gas, were held illegally and actually belonged to other entrepreneurs in the sector, operating on a national scale.
The investigations also revealed a serious lack of safety measures: the premises did not comply with fire prevention requirements and lacked the Risk Assessment Document (DVR), which is mandatory to ensure safety at work.
Two managers, caught red-handed, were reported at large for commercial fraud and receiving stolen goods. The operation of the Guardia di Finanza underlines the commitment to combating illegal activities that put at risk the safety of citizens and the regularity of the market.
