Students on Stage: The Past Comes to Life
The students of the institute, transformed into real actors, gave life to a traveling theatrical journey through the historic courtyards of the town. From shoemakers to bakers, passing through the traditional "capere", each scene recalled with care and passion the trades that once marked the daily life of the Vesuvius. The event was able to combine history, art and collective participation, involving not only the school community but also the territory.
The courtyard as a stage for memory
The beating heart of the initiative was the courtyard, a symbolic and concrete space of community life, transformed for the occasion into an open-air theater. The Alterio/Borriello family made their historic courtyard available, helping to create a suggestive and authentic atmosphere that moved those present.
The Voice of History: Carmine Cimmino Leads the Story
The voice of historian and writer Carmine Cimmino, a key figure in local culture, was the common thread throughout the performance. With his engaging story, Cimmino took the audience on a journey through time, enriching the narrative with anecdotes and testimonies from the past.
Manager Nappi: “A project to rediscover who we are”
“This project was born to recall the historical memory of a land that, through ancient crafts, has built its own identity over time”, declared the school principal Iolanda Nappi. “A special thanks - he added - goes to the students and teachers for their commitment, to the Alterio/Borriello family for their hospitality, to the Vesuvian Academy of Cinema and Theatre for their artistic support, and to Professor Carmine Cimmino for sharing his knowledge with us”.
