On May 31, 2025, the splendid setting of Villa Vannucchi in San Giorgio a Cremano hosted the closing Grand Gala of the third edition of the Cremano Film Festival, an evening that celebrated the emerging talent of Italian cinema.
Among the protagonists of the evening, the actor and director Giovanni Esposito received an award for his directorial debut, Black, previewed on May 28 at the Arena Nino Taranto. Alongside him, the actress Susy Del Giudice, co-star of the film, was also awarded for her performance.
The festival, artistically directed by Massimo De Matteo and coordinated by Gianni Parisi, placed the emphasis on first works, offering the public free screenings and meetings with directors and cast. Among the works in competition, in addition to Black, they figured The house of glances by Luca Zingaretti, Under the Cover by Simona Cocozza and Quanno chiove by Mino Capuano.
The evening was enriched by the presence of numerous illustrious guests, including Nicola Di Pinto, the godmother of the festival Nunzia Schiano and Lorenzo Fantastichini, who collected the Award in memory of his father, the great Ennio Fantastichini.
The Cremano Film Festival thus confirms itself as an important showcase for emerging Italian cinema, contributing to valorising the cultural heritage of San Giorgio a Cremano and promoting new talents in the national cinematographic panorama.
