Florence – Moments of fear last night at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park, Fiorentina’s sports center located in Bagno a Ripoli, where a fire broke out in one of the rooms of the pavilion dedicated to the youth sector. The causes of the fire are still being ascertained.
The Viola club itself announced the news in a note explaining how the alarm system and emergency procedures, combined with the readiness of the staff present, allowed for a rapid evacuation of the facility.
Four people were taken to hospital for checks due to mild symptoms of smoke intoxication: all were discharged in the following hours and are in good health.
The area of the pavilion affected by the flames has been isolated and made safe. Technical checks are ongoing to clarify the origin of the fire.
