A project that combines tradition and innovation
“Vicoli in Arte is an exhibition that represents the cultural soul of the city – explains Mayor Guida –. A constantly evolving format, capable of attracting important artists and at the same time valorizing local talents. This year the program is particularly rich, confirming the role of Positano as the cultural heart of the Amalfi Coast”.
Big names on the calendar: from Eugenio Bennato to Taranta
Opening the program, on June 8, will be Eugenio Bennato with the new project “Musica del Mondo 2025”, a musical journey through the sounds of the South and the Mediterranean roots. In September, “Taranta Sounds” by Antonio Castrignanò will debut for the first time in Positano, for a concert that celebrates the popular culture of Southern Italy with rhythm and passion.
Summer between swing, theatre and musical poetry
On July 19th, swing and jazz will take center stage with the Armando Rizzo Big Band, followed on August 11th by the group “Musica da Ripostiglio”, known for its poetic and retro style. Among the most anticipated events, the original production Musica e parole – Concerto al chiaro di luna, by Talamo-Avecone: an immersive evening of music, dance and narration, with a grand piano at the center of the scene.
The Roman Villa is transformed into a stage
Great anticipation for the return of La Villa delle Meraviglie, a theatrical show set in the fascinating setting of the Roman Villa of Positano. This year the production is renewed with an original text proposed in two languages, Italian and English, designed for an international audience. The archaeological site will remain open for free every first Sunday of the month, from June to October.
“We believe in the power of entertainment as a tool for enhancing heritage – says Michele De Lucia, Councillor for the Budget –. Every event is an opportunity to tell the story of Positano and cultivate an authentic bond with the territory”.
Young protagonists with the School of Performing Arts
There is no shortage of space for training: the School of Performing Arts of Positano, a breeding ground for young talents, presents two original shows. On June 30, We Are The Future – Songs for the World to Come will be performed, with a choir and band also composed of young people with disabilities, supported by musicians from the Conservatory of Salerno. On August 30, it will be the turn of Posa Posa and the Legend of Montepertuso, an epic show between myth and reality, with stage fights and original music.
A festival that tells the cultural identity of Positano
Vicoli in Arte confirms itself as a cultural project of broad scope, capable of mixing genres and languages, tradition and experimentation. An event that continues to tell the story of Positano as a living city, that dances, sings and grows in the name of art and memory.
