NAPLES – The Naples subway has stopped. A sudden and still unspecified technical failure forced the complete interruption of Line 2 today – Wednesday, July 1nd, disrupting city transportation and creating widespread inconvenience for commuters and tourists.
According to ANM, the Neapolitan Mobility Company, traffic has been suspended along the entire affected stretch. The company said that technical checks are underway to determine the cause of the fault and resume traffic “as soon as possible”.
The interruption affected one of the main arteries of urban transport in Naples, causing inevitable repercussions also on the surface, with a significant increase in traffic and difficulties in connecting the various areas of the city. At the moment, the times for the restoration of the service are not known.
